Many St. Louis residents recoil at the notion of killing the deer that are overpopulating some parts of St. Louis, Jefferson and St. Charles counties.

The Clarkson Valley Board of Alderman passed an ordinance Tuesday night, to allow bow hunting of deer in the community. The vote was 4 in favor, 1 against. Click here to read the full article.

A controversial plan to allow residential deer hunting in one west St. Louis County community is closer to becoming a reality. Hunters can track deer only several feet away from homes in Wildwood. Some owners there have had enough of the exploding deer population and are allowing bow hunters on their property. Click here to read the full article.

(KSDK) – The Kehrs Mill Trails subdivision has been overwhelmed. This is suburbia, but it looks more like a wildlife preserve. “You just got to live with the deer, and learn how to cohabitant,” says resident David Oltman.
Oltman sees them everywhere, deer by the dozen. According to the Missouri Department of Conservation, there are four times more deer per square mile than there should be, and it’s getting dangerous. Click here to read the full article.
